Why does eyeshadow crease?
Natural oils can break down pigment, or formulas may lack proper smoothing support. Clay & Ember includes texture enhancers that improve glide and help reduce movement, while kaolin helps manage oil. For best wear, apply over primer.
Why can eyeshadow apply unevenly?
Uneven colour often comes from poor pigment dispersion or chalky fillers. Clay & Ember uses refined mineral pigments and smoothing agents for even lay-down, controlled colour release and easy blending, without a chalky feel.
Why can shimmer look chunky?
Large particles can sit unevenly on the lid. Our shimmer uses refined mineral technology for a smooth, elegant luminosity rather than glitter fallout.
Is it suitable for sensitive and mature eyes?
Clay & Ember is fragrance-free, talc-free, and made with mineral pigments. All our formulas focus on refined quality ingredients and skin health, meaning that reactions are rare. If, however, you have very sensitive eyes, we would always recomend a patch test first. We also smoothing polymers in this formula to enable a flowing application without dragging, and finely milled shimmer ingredients for a blended finish without being dry and chalky.
Why doesn’t eyeshadow always last all day?
Longevity depends on adhesion, oil levels and base prep. Clay & Ember formulation includes adhesion and oil-balancing components to support wear, and performance improves further over primer.
Why do some shadows feel dry?
Heavy filler content can cause dryness. Clay & Ember balances pigments with conditioning and smoothing ingredients for a more comfortable lay-down.
Is aluminium in shimmer pigments harmful?
Ingredients such as Calcium Aluminum Borosilicate are stable mineral pigments, not aluminium salts. They are approved for use and remain on the skin surface.
