ISSADA Was originally founded in Brisbane in 1996 as a manufacturer of professional makeup brushes. These were used world wide by A list celebrities and professional makeup artists. By 2006, ISSADA had launched Australia’s first Mineral Makeup Brand, - long before it was fashionable we championed the cause for healthy makeup, free from talc and toxic ingredients. ISSADA rapidly expanded through the professional makeup and skincare industry with exquisite formulations and products suitable for TV/Film & Media as well as post treatment in medi-aesthetic clinics, and salons.
When Deb Farnworth-Wood, acquired the brand in 2020, she brought a bold new vision to combine the artistry of makeup with the science of cosmeceutical skincare, creating formulas that deliver skin health, integrity, and confidence.
With over 500 SKUs we now supply dermatologists, plastic surgeons, medi-aesthetic clinics, salons, spas as well as TV/Film & Media servicing each unique sector with appropriate products.

With over 30 years of experience in health, medi-aesthetics, and beauty, Deb is best known for founding the Australian Skin Clinics Franchise, which she grew from a single clinic into a 60-location powerhouse before selling in 2019. Her philosophy is simple yet powerful: skincare should be effective, ethical, kind, grounded in science, free from toxins, and proven to perform.
At the time of ISSADA’s acquisition, Deb and her team were already developing an advanced, clinical range of clean cosmeceuticals while also expanding her portfolio with the Byron Bay-born brand, “Shave With Valor”. The alignment was seamless, a mineral makeup brand built on purity, and a skincare range built on performance. Together, they formed the foundation of the modern ISSADA.

In 2022, ISSADA moved into a state-of-the-art manufacturing facility on Australia’s Gold Coast, expanding its headquarters sixfold to meet unprecedented growth. The new space houses product development, laboratory testing, education and training, creative production, and logistics all under one roof. This allows ISSADA to oversee every step of creation, ensuring clinical standards, ethical practices, and uncompromising quality. Today, ISSADA is trusted by dermatologists, aestheticians, dermal therapists, skin clinics, and makeup artists across Australia, available through an ever-growing network of stockists, and our own ISSADA Studios.
