As most of us already know, skin cleansing is critical to maintaining skin that looks and feels healthy.
We all know that skin that is not cleansed daily is likely to suffer from blocked pores, breakout, congestion and acne but did you know that cleansing correctly can also improve hydration and reduce irritation?
ISSADA DAILY GENTLE CLEANSING GEL
Our Daily Gentle Cleanser is one of Issada's bestselling skincare products, and for a good reason. The formula combines super-hydrating properties with a gentle cleansing action (sulfate-free) to efficiently remove make-up, dirt, debris, and environmental pollutants, leaving skin feeling soft and supple.
SO, WHAT IS SULFATE, AND SHOULD WE USE IT IN PRODUCTS?
Sulfates(also known as Sodium Lauryl Sulphate - SLS and Sodium Laurethe Sulphate - SLES) are detergents (also known as surfactants) primarily found in facial cleansers, shampoo & body wash (Also found in household cleaning products, like laundry and dish detergent). Two primary sulfates commonly used in beauty products (separately or together) are Sodium Lauryl Sulfate and Sodium Laureth Sulfate (SLES). Due to the similar spelling, these are easy to confuse, but you should note the difference between the two. They function similarly because both ingredients create that foamy feel in products. Still, Sodium Lauryl Sulfate binds to proteins on the skin's surface more than Sodium Laureth Sulfate, which means that Sodium Lauryl Sulfate can be more irritating with a higher rate of contact allergy to it. "In terms of irritation potential of a product, sodium Laureth sulfate is a better alternative than sodium lauryl sulfate.Issada cleansers are SLS and SLES Free. If you have dry, combination or sensitive skin, it is best to avoid sulfate products to prevent further risk of drying and irritation.Issada's Daily Gentle Cleanser is sulfate-free, meaning none of the above ingredients is in this formula. So, rest assured our Daily Gentle Cleanser will provide a purifying, hydrating and non-irritating daily cleanse.
