SO, WHAT IS SULFATE, AND SHOULD WE USE IT IN PRODUCTS?

Sulfates(also known as Sodium Lauryl Sulphate - SLS and Sodium Laurethe Sulphate - SLES) are detergents (also known as surfactants) primarily found in facial cleansers, shampoo & body wash (Also found in household cleaning products, like laundry and dish detergent).Two primary sulfates commonly used in beauty products (separately or together) are Sodium Lauryl Sulfate and Sodium Laureth Sulfate (SLES). Due to the similar spelling, these are easy to confuse, but you should note the difference between the two.  They function similarly because both ingredients create that foamy feel in products. Still, Sodium Lauryl Sulfate binds to proteins on the skin's surface more than Sodium Laureth Sulfate, which means that Sodium Lauryl Sulfate can be more irritating with a higher rate of contact allergy to it. "In terms of irritation potential of a product, sodium Laureth sulfate is a better alternative than sodium lauryl sulfate.Issada cleansers are SLS and SLES Free.
