We had so many lovely messages over email, Facebook, Twitter and Instagram about the race day makeups we did on Presenter/model/singer and 2013 Miss World Australia, Erin Holland and her BFF, international model Lauren Vickers! So much so that we decided to give our #Gems insider access to our behind the scenes process – and all the products you’ll need to recreate the look yourself! Issada’s Rianna gives us the scoop:
Lauren wanted her skin to feel fresh and revived as she’s been so busy lately. I gave her skin a thorough prep with Issada Canvas Primer and achieved a beautiful coverage with Issada Mineral Velvet Cream, set with Issada Mineral Loose Powder for a bit more glow, with some Issada Mineral Baked Foundation just through her T-Zone. We then decided on a bronze smokey eye with less emphasis on a heavy liner, but loads of individual lashes (Issada Luxe Lashes in One by One). I did quite strong contouring and really worked on layering cream and powder highlight to give her a major luminosity on the high points of her face. We finished the look with a combination of Issada Luxury Lipstick in Apple Blossom and Issada Mineral Lip Gloss in Nectar.
Erin had worked with her stylist Donny Galella on a moodboard and a number of references for her makeup. We began by prepping her skin with Issada Canvas Primer followed by a perfecting application of Issada CC8 Cream and a touch of Issada Mineral Velvet Cream where more coverage was desired. I contoured using Issada Mineral Baked Velvet in Sand and layered cream and powder highlights (Issada Luminiser Stick in Pearl and Issada Mineral Baked Eyeshadow in Sugar) for maximum glow. Her eyes needed to reflect the overall outfit so I softly defined them with warm tones (Issada Mineral Baked Eyeshadow in 2 Spicy) through the socket and blending that with Issada Mineral Baked Blush in Champagne Diamond, which we also used on her cheeks. We finished eyes by working Issada Indelible Gel Liner in Fudge into her lashline and adding lots and lots of individual lashes. A pretty pink lip to tone in with her dress was a must, so we went for Issada Mineral Lip Crayon in Smooch, topped with Issada Mineral Lip Gloss in Orchid – which perfectly met Donny’s brief of ‘pink and glowy.’
